This image reveals the appearance of the facial rash of a chickenpox patient during the 3rd day of the illness. This patient with chickenpox started developing a rash 3 days prior to posing for this photograph. From the appearance of the rash on his face, it is difficult to diagnose between smallpox and chickenpox.
