Case 1: Clinical
Patient was a 36 year old woman with no history of alcohol of tobacco use.
Complaint was of persistent irritation of right ventral tongue of 5 months
duration which developed after a temporary crown was placed on first molar.
findings: Poorly defined, slightly thickened mucosal reaction on right
ventral tongue. Has not resolved since permanent crown was placed and topical
steroid rinses prescribed.
Differential diagnosis: Foreign body reaction, squamous
Biopsy: Incisional biopsy
